After the Christmas holidays, early voting trends in the Georgia runoffs still favor Democrats. On Sunday, December 27 — our 12th day of early voting — voters in Gwinnett, Fulton, and DeKalb counties are once again masking up and heading to their local polling station. Meanwhile, everyone else is at home raiding the fridge for leftover Christmas ham. Compared with the same 11-day period during the November election, early voting turnout is now up 1.47% in Biden-leaning counties and down 0.28% in Trump-leaning counties, a difference of 131,094 ballots and counting. Including absentees, Democratic counties have now cast 277,503 more ballots than their Republican counterparts.

Will Republicans catch up on or before election day? Time will tell.
